We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Intermediate Architectural Technologist - We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist with extensive skill as a Project Manager, as well as preparing construction drawing and specifications documents for commercial, institutional, and retail projects. The candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and possess excellent working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, as well as expertise in building envelope detailing and construction methods.
Qualifications include:
Graduate of recognized Architectural Technology program
Minimum 10 years experience as an Architectural technologist
Advanced knowledge/experience AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with REVIT is an asset.
Strong working knowledge of Ontario Building Code – Part 3 and Part 9
Excellent technical understanding of building science and construction contract documents
Ability to produce, coordinate and complete design development and construction documentation
An ability to work independently and as a leader of a team
Excellent command of English (Written and verbal communications skills)
Motivated, organized, responsible, and have a positive attitude
Ability to juggle multiple jobs, meet deadlines, work with tight schedules and multiple projects
Intermediate Architectural Technologist / Future Associate - We are seeking a dynamic and driven Architect with extensive skill and experience in running Architectural and Interior Design projects independently, and as part of a team. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience in preparing construction drawing and specifications documents for commercial, institutional, and retail projects. The candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and possess excellent working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, as well as expertise in building envelope detailing and construction methods. Being a Licensed member of the OAA is required for this position. We are seeking a Candidate who is interested in actively participating in the growth of a small firm, with good interest in long term commitment and potential for a future Associate position.
Qualifications include:
A minimum of 10-12 years of experience as a project Architect in the design of commercial and retail projects
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Architecture from an accredited post-secondary institution
Must be familiar with the approvals process throughout Ontario
Minimum 10-12 years of hands on experience with the Ontario Building Code, Parts 3 and 9 as well production of construction drawings and building envelope detailing
Knowledge and skill in BIM architectural modeling using Revit is an asset.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite is required
Proficiency and speed in Sketchup and Photoshop is an asset
Excellent written and oral language skills
Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines a must.

Intermediate Interior Designer - Reporting to the Principal Designer, you will work collaboratively with the team to develop design concepts and drawing packages for a variety of retail & commercial projects. As a Team Lead, you will manage projects from start to finish and will be responsible for managing client and consultant relationships and delivering on the scope of work within the agreed project timeline. Your energy and enthusiasm will inspire the team to reach beyond comfort to ensure that we deliver our best each and every project.
Qualifications include:
Graduate of an Interior Design degree program; member of ARIDO an asset
Work collaboratively with the team to develop design concepts and client presentations
Manage all phases of design throughout project scope for small and large retail & commercial projects
Manage the project schedule to ensure that all milestones are met
Coordinate with engineers, suppliers and other consultants
Create schematic floor plans and develop design concepts - rendering abilities an asset
Oversee the development of detailed drawing & permit packages
Review drawing sets, millwork drawings and construction sets for approval
Oversee progress of construction to ensure that the build-out is in accordance with contract documents
Seek ways to further streamline and improve internal processes
Provide mentorship and training to junior designers
